News Blitz: 9/21 – 49ers injuries, Vikings look-ahead

After a convincing 46-27 win over the San Francisco 49ers the Panthers are looking ahead to their next opponent, the Minnesota Vikings.

After losing quarterback Terry Bridgewater for the season the Vikings traded with the Eagles to acquire quarterback Sam Bradford who will be starting Sunday.

This Sunday also marks the return of former Panther cornerback Captain Munnerlyn.

Jonathan Stewart is expected to miss 1-2 weeks with a hamstring injury suffered during the 49ers game. Expect Fozzy Whittaker and Cameron Artis-Payne to be active.

For the Vikings, running back Adrian Peterson will have surgery on a torn meniscus and left tackle Matt Kalil, younger brother of Carolina Panthers center Ryan Kalil, is headed to injured reserve with a hip injury.
Panthers Safety Dean Marlowe has been placed on injured reserve after an recurring hamstring injury flared up during the 49ers game.
